A little about me and my dream...

My name is Shana Anderton and I am a 36 year old lifestyle and portrait photographer in the Birmingham - metro area.  I am happily married and have a five year old son who is the love of my life.  For many years I have enjoyed harassing my family and friends by shoving my camera in their faces at every given opportunity. In the fall of 2010, my husband, as well as, many close friends and family, pointed out that I have an eye for capturing not just photos, but life moments.  I began to experiment with some very patient friends and their families and found that they were very satisfied with the results I produced through my camera lens.  I have dreamed of pursuing something I really love for quite some time now, and this is my time to showcase my talent.  

I specialize in natural light photography, as well as, newborn, infant, child, individual and family photography.  I am an on-location photographer, shooting mostly at local parks and/or gardens in the Birmingham - metro area.  I will also travel and set up my portable studio at your home.  I  will photograph small scale weddings, providing the ceremony and the reception are located at the same venue.  You and your family can be assured you will be working directly with me, Shana Anderton. I edit and proof all my own portraits and deliver the quality you expect at a fraction of the cost. I use an online printing company (Mpix) to handle large quantity orders, special sizes, canvas prints and much, much more.  My goal is to service clients who need creativity on time and on a budget when both are at a premium.  I often offer special packages for holidays so remember to check my blog often and follow me on Facebook (Shana Anderton-photography).  I look forward to making your moments, forever memories.
